Welcome to Istanbul, the city of chaos and mystery! It is one of the largest and most populated cities in Turkey known for its exotic beauty and wonderful historic monuments. It is a blend of a modern western with a traditional eastern city which is why it is called a multicultural city where you will find friendly and welcoming people around you who are very proud of their culture and traditions. It is recommended for you to try the diverse Turkish cuisine from the breakfast with eggs, cheese and olives to their delicious kebabs for dinner and of course, do not miss out on the Turkish tea and the famous Turkish delight.
Even if you have one day in Istanbul, you can still visit all the main attractions Istanbul is famous for. A day in the Old City is a great introduction to Istanbul as you discover the best eateries and dine where the locals do and enjoy the legacy of a city that is surrounded by historic and cultural treasures.
Your private guide will meet you at the hotel if you plan to stay in the Old City. A meeting point is arranged for the guests coming from outside of the Old City. Details will be sent by the tour guide. Then we will explore the stunning Old City.
Please Note:
- This is a walking tour since all the attractions are located at a walking distance.
- Topkapi Palace is closed on Tuesdays and replaced with Underground Cistern.
- Hagia Sophia is open on Mondays as well (in the past years it was closed on Mondays, in case of change, the visit is replaced with Underground Cistern).
